It is with great pleasure that I write a letter of recommendation for Ms. Fatima Bey. Ms. Bey and I have worked closely together this year as she was a guest speaker for our Peer Mentor Program. Ms. Bey is a highly respected and valued member of our Peer Mentor team at Schenectady High School, and came in to lead multiple workshops with our students around finding their passion and purpose and shifting their mindset. Ms. Bey takes her job, and future very seriously and she aspires to do many great things with our students.
Ms. Bey led a 3 part series with our Peer Mentors which are in grades 9-12. The series was focused on Turning Your Passion into a Business or Career. The Objective of the series is to mentally prepare the students for the resources the school is already offering. The main reason for this is a lack of motivation and self-awareness. Ms. Bey's workshop helped our students connect the dots and provide them with the insight that information does not change people, but inspiration does.
Ms. Bey has the ability to connect with students, staff, and colleagues and always handles herself in the most respectful and confidential ways. Ms. Bey's ability to break down barriers and build relationships is second to none. Ms. Bey will be a valuable asset to your program, and someone whom you will rely upon to follow through with grace during the most challenging situations.
