Your First Step: The Guest Agreement

Before we go any further, please take a moment to sign the Guest Contributor Agreement. It's a simple document that outlines our partnership and gives me permission to publish your work. Click on the button above.

Preparing for a Perfect Recording

The quality of your audio is what will make your message shine. Unlike a conversational podcast, this recording is a performance of your written work. Your preparation is key to creating a professional-grade piece we can both be proud of.

1. Practice Reading Your Piece Aloud
Please read your written work out loud several times before our session. This helps you get comfortable with the pacing, identify any tricky phrases, and deliver your words with natural confidence.

2. The Golden Rule: A Completely Noise-Free Environment
This is the single most important factor for your recording. I can edit out verbal mistakes, but I cannot remove all  background noises. Your recording space must be free of all distracting sounds.
✓ Find a quiet, private room and close the door.
✓ Turn off all fans, air conditioners, heaters, or any appliances that hum.
✓ Silence your phone and all computer notifications.
✓ Ensure there are no pets, children, or other people in the room.
✓ Close any windows to block out traffic or neighborhood sounds.

3. Your Technical Setup
✓ Headphones are mandatory. This is non-negotiable to prevent audio echo. The simple earbuds with a built-in mic that come with a phone work fine.
✓ Join from a computer for the most stable connection.
✓ The recording link is in your calendar invitation. There is no need to look for it elsewhere.

What to Expect During Our Session

• I'll Be Your Silent Guide: I will be on the call to let you into the studio and ensure everything is working correctly. Once you're ready, I will go on mute to give you a private and focused space to record.
• Mistakes are Okay! If you stumble on a word or lose your place, don't worry. Simply pause, take a breath, and restart the sentence or paragraph. I will edit out all the imperfections later.
• Music Comes After: You only need to focus on your voice. The signature MindShifter inro, outro, and background music will be added by me during the post-production process.

What Happens After We Record

Once you've finished recording, my work begins! I will edit the audio, master the sound quality, and mix in the background music. I will send you the media email with all the links and promotional materials once your episode is published and live!
